What should I expect?

It’s not unusual to be anxious or fearful before entering drug or alcohol addiction treatment. However, shortly after you enter the doors of Harmony Ridge Recovery Center, you’ll realize there is nothing to be nervous about. The kind and compassionate team of medical professionals make sure every patient feels comfortable and welcome during their stay with us. All patients receive 24-hour nursing supervision for their safety during this delicate time.

Detox Level Of Care

The first, and highest level of addiction treatment, is medical detox. Detox, more formally known as detoxification, is the process of removing all drugs, alcohol and toxins from the body. There is no specific time frame to complete detox, as each patient is different, and too many variables come into play. Should a patient experience any withdrawal symptoms, our nursing staff will safely manage their symptoms, and alleviate any temporary pain or discomfort. Nursing continuously monitors medication levels by means of urinalysis testing. Medication dosage is decreased as the patient progresses through the detoxification process. As a patient’s medication dosage decreases throughout their stay, the patient’s dependence for the substance decreases as well. Eventually, the patient will no longer experience any physical withdrawal symptoms.

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment is the next level of care following medical detox. This is the time when patients can focus 100 percent on themselves and their treatment. Patients will feel great after successfully detoxing, however, it’s important to remember that this is not the time to go home. Our nursing and medical team will develop an individualized treatment plan specifically designed to address factors that fueled each patient’s addiction.

Using evidence-based treatment methods, we address each patient’s entire mind, body and soul during the recovery process. Our goal is to help patients reclaim their lives that have been derailed due to the disease of addiction. In addition to 24-hour care, patients have access to daily group therapy, individual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), music and art therapy, adventure therapy and outdoor therapy.

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)

Patients completing residential treatment often continue to the next level of care, known as Partial Hospital Programs (PHP). Often described as a middle ground between residential and outpatient treatment, PHP is the ideal program for those wishing to begin the transition to living independently without sacrificing the level and intensity of their addiction treatment. This program is designed to help patients overcome hurdles and triggers that have fed their addiction. Patients continue attending structured programs, like in residential treatment, yet go to a home-like environment in the evening.
