David has a background in Business Administration with emphasis in behavioral health care. His personal experience with addiction coupled with his leadership, operational know-how and compassion brings a unique style of management and delivers results to the facilities he operates. David founded Harmony Ridge's sister facility Recovery In Tune in 2015 and Harmony Recovery Group thereafter, capitalizing on his dream to provide high-quality care to those suffering from the disease of addiction to communities across the country that desperately need these services. In his constant pursuit of providing nothing less than excellence in patient care, his leadership delivers hard work, dedication and constant involvement from all of the staff members at the facilities he operates.
Two words describe Cecilia: dedicated and passionate, especially when it comes to her work in the field of addiction treatment. Cecilia has extensive experience and knowledge, which she brings to her role as CCO at Harmony Ridge Recovery Center. She has dedicated more than ten years to establishing successful substance abuse programs and managing top-notch clinical teams and is regarded as a natural leader and role model by her staff, peers and patients. What sets Cecilia apart from the rest is both her ability to create an environment that is optimal for successful clinical interventions as well as her ability to inspire trust, dedication and continual growth among her team. Cecilia’s approach is unique because she isn’t afraid to jump in directly at all levels of care–from the admission process the discharge procedure–because she is a firm believer that good clinical care is an ongoing process that requires daily tweaking and maintenance. Cecilia is dedicated to her profession and to the individuals with whom she works and serves. She is always open to feedback and suggestions from staff as well as patients in order to continue growing, expanding and improving services. Cecilia believes that a patient-centered approach in which an individual’s needs are constantly being met is essential to his or her success.
Dr. Ryan Wakim is a West Virginia board-certified licensed psychiatrist who joined the Harmony Ridge team at inception as Medical Director. Dr. Wakim brings his deep knowledge and experience in the fields of Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry to provide all Harmony Ridge clients with direct, high-quality medical consultations including psychiatric assessments and follow-up sessions, and medication management.
Cory joined Harmony Ridge's parent company, Harmony Recovery Group, as Director of Operations in early 2018. His vast experience in operations management in treatment and other settings enable him to provide guidance and leadership to the Harmony Ridge staff and clients on a daily basis.
Laura Eagle serves as Clinical Director of Harmony Ridge Recovery Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of West Virginia. Her approach to therapy and counseling is a collaborative and relational endeavor where her expertise is used in determining the patients' strengths, weaknesses and goals to create clinically-driven treatment plans and produce positive outcomes in treatment.
Tyler joined the Harmony Ridge staff in 2018. He brings his wide experience in mental health counseling to his role as primary therapist with passion and dedication. Prior to joining Harmony Ridge, Tyler worked in several substance abuse and youth programs in the Parkersburg area. Tyler provides direct services to Harmony Ridge patients utilizing clinically-proven methods and evidence-based practices through group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, adventure therapy and psychological assessments.
Tonya joined the Harmony Ridge team as Bio-Feedback Technician and Group Facilitator. She is passionate about recovery and believes in her work in confronting the addiction epidemic in the Mid-Ohio Valley head-on. Tonya uses a holistic approach that includes bio-sound technology, tai-chi, Qigong meditation and yoga to give our patients a new outlook on life, in addition to helping patients learn and use new positive coping skills that help with self-regulation. She attended West Virginia University of Parkersburg for her BAS in Criminal Justice and attends Capella University for her Masters in Addiction Studies which she will complete the Fall of 2018. In her spare time, Tonya is a KungFu instructor at Shaolin Martial Arts in Parkersburg.
Kyla is Case Manager and Admissions Coordinator at Harmony Ridge Recovery Center. Kyla has a BAS and wide-ranging experience in intake processing and case management, having worked in this capacity in several addiction treatment centers in the past. She is one the first friendly faces new patients see for their intake and case management assessment and continues working with patients throughout their stay on case management and discharge planning.
